Newlywed's in Distress
Donation protected
Hello there we are Nancy and Billy Irwin. We recently got married in June 2015 and are living in Columbia, South Carolina. Who are Nancy and Billy?
Nancy and Billy both are community minded, service oriented induvial. Nancy serves the community by teaching Assistive Technology to students who are blind or visually impaired. In the past Nancy has volunteered in the food pantry, and worked with refugee children in an afterschool program. Billy spends his time volunteering with Emergency service personal and first responders, studying for a degree. Nancy and Billy neither one are comfortable with asking for assistance nor are they use to playing the role of victim. Both of these individuals themselves are visually impaired. In the midst of the flooding in Columbia, South Carolina they have lost everything. They will be displaced for an undetermined amount of time. Among the items that have been lost include furniture, personal electronics, Blindness related technology and the list goes on.
Considering all things they are thankful that 1 of 2 of their guide dogs alerted them to the flooding. Our dogs also lost everything. We would much rather be helping others but any assistance provided will be greatly appreciated. May god bless you for your donations.
If we reach our goal, we are hoping to be able to replace all of our furniture, computers, amateur radio equipment that is used for Emergency communications, our video magnification equipment , that is used to read our mail and various other assistive technology, clothing, and supplies for our Guide Dogs, all other essential household items. Our list of lost items is immense. It turns out that our insurance did not include flood protection in an apartment building. Thank you for taking the time in consideration in viewing this page.
