Isaac Higgins Rehabilitation from TBI

Donation protected
This fundraiser is for the benefit of 21 year old Isaac Higgins, son of Lincoln and Wanda Higgins and brother of Lukas Higgins, all residents of West Tisbury, Ma.  Lincoln and Wanda met and married on the Vineyard, built a house in West Tisbury and raised their two sons there.
Issac, their youngest, was involved in a serious car accident on June 23rd in Katama.  Edgartown EMT's and Police were quick to respond and transported Isaac to the Emergency Dept. at Martha's Vineyard Hospital .  After being triaged it was clear that he had sustained a life-threatening head injury and would need to be air-lifted to Mass General Hospital in Boston.  Upon reaching Mass General it was determined that Isaac had a Traumatic Brain Injury and he has been and continues to be in critical condition since his arrival to MGH.
Isaac's medical team consists of top-notch Neurologists and NeuroSurgeons, Nurses, and Technicians, all whose care of Isaac has been nothing short of outstanding.  With that said, Isaac's medical team has told the family that Isaac's road to recovery will be more of a marathon than a sprint.
This is what prompted our family to begin this fundraiser - to help support Isaac and his family as they stand by his side in constant vigil, every day until he opens his eyes again and is stable enough to be moved to the next phase of rehabilitation.  The funds raised here will allow the family to cover the enormous costs of staying in the Boston area, close to Isaac, and availble to him to love on and support him as he heals.
Wanda, Lincoln, Lukas have received such an outpouring of love and support from family, friends and colleauges across the Vineyard,  throughout Massachusetts and beyond  - from Maine to Miami, from Boston to Los Angeles -it has touched them to their core.    The  prayers, well wishes and heartfelt sentiments shared through social media, phone calls and texts as well as in-person have sent waves of encouragement throughout the entire family as they come to realize just how much love and support they truly have and they are ever so grateful for it.
People have continued to ask, "What else can I do to help?"...Their first and only answer is to continue to PRAY for Isaac's healing and a full and complete recovery.  With that said, WE, the siblings of Lincoln and Wanda recognize we need to support them as well, so they can be there for their son and not have to worry about ANYTHING BUT ISAAC - WE, their family, are asking for any donation, no matter how small, because we know that drops of water turn into gallons and gallons turn into ponds and ponds turn into oceans when everyone helps out a little bit.  ALL monies donated to this cause will go toward family expenses associated with staying in the Boston Area, close to Issac, and any medical expenses not covered by insurance as well as expenses for rehab and related care.
We pray blessings upon all, whether you donate a little or a lot.  If all you can do is pray, that is all we ask of you.  Either way, Isaac and his family hear and feel your prayers of support - they lift their spirits with encouragement and truly help them get through each day of this crisis.
Please share this post with anyone you know who knows Isaac or his family and ask them to do the same.  We NEED to see Isaac open his eyes again and by God's grace - WE WILL!  #IsaacStrongMV

With heartfelt thanks, we appreciate each and every one of you.
