Isabel Solis- Our Light

Isabel Rivera Solis was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer on September 17, 2022; this morning, September 20, 2022, Isabel's heart of gold stopped making the beautiful rhythm that brought joy to anyone around her. In less than a week, the lives of our family members, her loving husband, and her joyous six year old son— took a tragic turn. Isabel has been a loving light in everyone's life. From the moment I remember, my aunt constantly did the most for me, my cousins, aunts/uncles, and even people she had just met. My childhood was full of laughter, joy, and an array of unique experiences because of my godmother Isabel. She explicitly displayed her love for her nieces, nephews, godsons, goddaughters, and so forth. Every holiday, our family got together because she was always vigilant about the holidays and made it a priority that we spend time together. This love and selflessness drove her to care and foster several children in need of a loving home and family. Isabel gave the shirt off her back to help anyone in need— It’s just the type of person she was. Isabel was a beautiful soul, one that you only meet once In a lifetime. She was joyful, selfless, empathetic, and humanitarian. In summary, she was the light we all looked for.
