Isabel - WUKF World Karate Championships

Friends and family have suggested a Just Giving Page for my daughter Isabel to help fundraise her journey.

So, it’s time to dust off my trainers, put my aches n pains to one side… blow out the cobwebs and hit the ground running… maybe a brisk walk, as I tackle a 5K Coloured Obstacle Course in Sheffield on 3rd June with my trusted 3 friends/work colleagues in tow, who’ll help me over the finish line Jordy, Deb and Sarah ❤️ The idiom - ‘walk before you run’ will be quite apt coupled with ‘life is a marathon not a sprint!’

Isabel has been selected to represent her Karate Club in an England squad at the 11th WUKF World Karate Championships in Dundee on 13th to 16th July. To say as parents we are super, duper proud and pleased as ‘punch’ being operative word (practising her Kiai) is an understatement of this awesome achievement and fantastic experience/opportunity. I am certain she will do her best to compete against the elite in her sport.

Like everything - it comes with a price tag, that being Entrance fees, Accommodation/Catering, Transport, Multiple Category fees for Kata and Kumite and Kit/Suits. That aside, I completely understand cost of living and that money doesn’t grow on trees! However, if you’d kindly like to sponsor me to help support Isabel I would be very grateful. To ‘coin’ a phrase …’every penny counts’ and ‘kids of today’….she’s investing her time (and mine lol) hard work and dedication in a sport she enjoys.

Karate offers so many benefits - teaches self defence, builds confidence, develops character and encourages self discipline.
