Isabella Altano Artist Scholarship

After an 18-month battle with non-small cell lung cancer, we lost our mother and friend Isabella Altano in late 2017. Isabella was an artist and a teacher of the arts and constantly worked to help others create art of their own.

Isabella taught art to college students in the same way she taught her children to be creative: with positivity, optimism, inspiration, and the tools they need to make the things they are passionate about making. In honor of her work, we've created a scholarship to help more artists do the same.

The Isabella Altano Scholarship for Emerging Artists allows deserving art students a year's tuition to Bergen Community College where Isabella was an alum and professor. Isabella was passionate about art and design and spent her entire life creating art and helping others do the same.


Through this scholarship at Bergen Community College, her friends and family hope to assist the next generation of artists to receive the financial assistance they need to empower their creativity, hone their craft and enrich their education in the arts. The art world can be a financially challenging one for even the most prolific proffesionals, so lifting the burden of college tuition can help bring a promising artist one step closer to his or her dream.


By donating to this scholarship, you can help talented artists reach their potential.  Scholarship recipients will receive full tuition to persue their studies beginning in 2018.
