ISABELLA'S LAPETINA EPILEPSY/LIVER OP & TREATMENT

We are reaching out to ask everyone to please help my beautiful daughter Isabella Lia Lapetina Casanova, a senior in high school who has been suffering with intractable epilepsy (that only affects 20% of the population) since she was 10 years old. Over the last few months her health has taken a turn for the worse. Recently, her seizures have become more intense and result in behavioral arrest, vocalization issues and confusion. Even with medication she is continuing to get worse. As a result, her liver is now compromised making treatment of her seizures more and more difficult.
Her doctors in Puerto Rico have done all they can for her and now she is being referred for a neuro-surgical evaluation at the NYU Langone Comprehensive Epilepsy Center in Manhattan with Dr. Blanca Vazquez in hopes she will be able to not only treat her for her seizures but to address the high levels of enzymes that are now destroying her liver.
Time is not on her side. For her to receive this life saving treatment, Isabella must travel to the United States immediately. She cannot continue without this treatment because without it, her liver and her brain will not be able to handle the results of the medication and seizures much longer.
Isabella is a beautiful, bright young woman with her whole life ahead of her. She sings beautifully, volunteers for cancer centers and is so kind-hearted as anyone who knows her can attest. Besides all these seizures and medical obstacles, Isabella have manage to remain as an honor student.
Please help us give Isabella a chance at the life she so deeply deserves. While most people diagnosed with epilepsy can control their seizures with medication, Isabella cannot.
Treatment is possible and with your help, Isabella can get better. All funds donated (over $250,000 needed) will be used to help pay the highly expensive hospital bills for tests and her inevitable operations. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
