The student community at University of Detroit Mercy has shown a wholesome curiosity to learn more about Islam and its many cultures thanks to the University's highly regarded Islamic Studies program.
Muslim students gain a deeper understanding of their own traditions, and non-Muslim students grasp a range of spiritual expression previously unknown to them. All of htis is framed within the University's founding Jesuit and Mery principles enableing a positive response to social and religious ignorance, injustice, and marginalization.
With a curriculum that fosters inter- and intra-fath understanding, the University of Detroit Mercy's Islamic Studies programis becoming known as a strong voice for the exploration and understanding of Islam in the Midwest.
