Education Center for Women Children in Bangladesh

Help women and children escape poverty and rebuild with literacy. Help us continue this blessed project.

Background

Prior to the month of last Ramadan, my great grandfather Maulana Abdul-Noor Khan had been battling against COVID-19. After a long and painful 3 week fight, on the 3rd night of the blessed month of Ramadan, my great grandfather passed away at the age of 101.

In Bangladesh, education is not readily available in every district thus, students and children are required to travel great lengths by foot to obtain it. My late great grandfather used to educate children who would come hours away to his home and overfill it.


It is now my (Homayra) shared goal to carry out his wishes, alongside my grandfather Dr. Abul Lais Khan,  who is directly overseeing this project in Bangladesh with his committee and shares the envision to build an Islamic education center for women and children, providing a place where women children and everyone can come for Eid prayers without having to travel to far places, and to learn education free of cost. These women and children will have chance to learn general education reading writing ✍️ and also general Islamic education, Arabic caligraphy to write the Quran and more.

This mosque + islamic school  is in Alinogor union,  Ramdhabazar, Chondogram, Sylhet, Bangladesh.


Why should I help?

You can help them rebuild with literacy so they can avoid labour jobs and their mothers can escape tiring jobs and start to empower herself with education and seek out greater opportunities. Child labour is a huge problem in Bangladesh and many children are stuck working in clothing factories all their life some Scarcely able to even read a word but if this school is build it can enable these student to learn free of cost.
With every penny you donate, you give us the chance to build classrooms for these children who otherwise would not have a chance to be educated due to long distances. For every child that learns  in this establishment you will receive reward, for every person they teach in the future you will receive that reward as well. Around 5000 families will be forever grateful and you will give the gift of education to these children and women.

Why now? 


Masha'allah, through family donations as well as last two years donation we were able to complete the framework for the masjid as seen in the youtube video in the updates section however  it is nowhere near completion or safe enough for women and children to learn in.
We can help around 5000 children and families living in Sylhet,   but we need you to help us make this possible.
