Isla's footsteps to success
Isla was born at 28weeks gestation and suffered a brain injury. Isla has a diagnosis of diplegic cerebal palsy gmfcs 3/4 which means isla won't walk unaided, she is learning to use her walker and we are waiting for a wheelchair so when starting nursery she can keep up with her peers. Isla will use her walker for short distances and her wheelchair for long distances. Isla missed out on so much therapy during the pandemic and we have seen isla,s development suffer because of this. She is beginning to become uncomfortable because her tone increases so unexpectedly and she is frustrated too because she can't move around when she wants too, which kills me to see! Isla has now reached an age were we can begin to try other therapies along side the nhs. Hippotherapy will be amazing to strengthen her core and help with balance. There are numerous different options with therapy and with everyone's help I'd love to raise funds for her future and make her as independent as possible.
