Art Space For Emotional Healing
Donation protected
Who we are:
I Still Matter is a Jacksonville based non-profit that got it's start at One Spark in 2015. Our mission is to foster mental and emotional healing through art and creative expression. I Still Matter Website

What we have accomplished so far:
Since becoming a non profit we have reached over 150 individuals with our healing art groups and workshops. Our Founder & Director, Carmen Joyce, has spoken at: schools, mental health organizations, churches and community events advocating for mental health, reaching over 250 people.
We created "Inside Out" Jacksonville's largest multi-media art exhibit (70 canvases) surrounding mental illness that has been exhibited at Baptist Health, Main Libray in Downtown Jacksonville and Florida State College at Jacksonville, to name a few.
We collaborated with 52 artists (stateside and international) to make a coloring book! I Still Color has sold over 350 copies since August!
We now hold two monthly supportive art groups in Jacksonville that are free to women ages 13 and up.
Here's why we need your help:
We have visions of doubling our reach in 2017 with a new art studio space that has been donated to us by St. Mary's Episcopal Church & Outreach Ministries ! We now have between now and November 30th to raise the money we need to make this space fabulous!
This space will be a place for healing, community, art and education! Here are some programs we will add if we get funding!
Groups
Monthly Community Group
Teen Girl's Group
Women Veteran's Group
Monthly Group for College Students
Art Activities
Painting & Watercolor Workshops
SoulCollage© Workshops
Mosiac Workshops
Creative Corner
This will be a space in our studio where individuals can share our space to work on their own creative projects
We want our space to be beautiful and inviting. As you can see, it is very spacious and we will have more storage than we will know what to do with (but I'm sure we'll find a way to manage).
It just needs some TLC! There are several things on our "wish list" and we figured the easiest way to make our goal of opening (March of 2017) is to ask you for your support!
You can help us reach our goal by donating today. All donations are tax-deductable!
*Individual donations of $100.00 (or more) will receive a special invitation to a private event where we will create a "Memorial Mosiac" that will decorate our studio wall! The mosaic will be dedicated to our donors and friends and loved ones who are living with mental illness or have lost their lives because of mental illness. You'll be invited to bring any special shattered pottery or plates you want to be a part of the mosaic. Supplies will be provided.
