Isobel needs a Galileo Vibration plate
Donation protected
Hi there. My name is Kylie. I am fundraising for my amazing little girl, Isobel. I have two amazing kids, Harrison and Isobel. And if you know our family you will usually see us all, me Elric and Harrison going through town chasing after Isobel as she races ahead on her bright orange walker.
Isobel was born at 26 weeks in Arrowe park hospital spent the first 3 months of her little life in Arrowe and COCH. She came home one whole month before her actual due date. That's how much of a fighter this little warrior is.
As Isobel started to grow we noticed that she was not hitting some of her developmental milestones on time, such as sitting, crawling or standing. We were referred to physio and we were told by the team that Isobel has hyper mobility (she's super bendy) and physio put together a routine of exercises to follow. However, we became very quickly aware that Isobel was in a lot to pain. We noticed she was only able to do her physiotherapy exercises for short periods of time before she would experience chronic pain through the day and wake up through the night inconsolable. As parents, Elric and I were lost and didn't know where to turn.
Isobel was referred to the hospital and after a lot of investigation, general anesthetic, MRIs and other horrible procedures, Isobel was diagnosed with JIA (juvenile idiopathic arthritis). In order to manage the pain, Isobel has had cortisone injections and is currently on a methotrexate injections.
Our fundraising aim is to get enough money to buy a Galileo vibration plate. These pieces of equipment are around £6000.00. And just 12 minutes a day on on these plates, 3 to 5 times a week is like the equivalent of a whole physiotherapy regime and it also helps to manage the excruciating pain she suffers during a flare up. This would make such a difference to Isobel's life and her day-to-day happiness. So any help that you could give us would be so greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
