Hello everyone this is Mahmoud Abdelwahd I am an Egyptian Engineer living and working in Germany, I'm deeply grateful for your time in listening to Israa Saleh and her family story (I have known the family members for years, studied with Hussam at the USA in 2017), The Saleh family are facing unimaginable challenges in Gaza due to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
Israa, a dedicated medical doctor at Doctors of the World-France MDM, has been tirelessly treating displaced individuals in Gaza. Her commitment to her community led her to pursue a master's degree in International Public Health from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine as a Chevening Scholar, with a focus on Sexual & Reproductive Health.

The relentless aggression Israa is facing in Gaza has left her and her family with the heart-wrenching loss of everything they held dear. Their connection to Gaza dates back to 2008, Israa vividly recalls the first Israeli aggression, a day carved in her memory when chaos unfolded at her school. At just 15 years old, she ran through the chaos, seeking refuge with her mother. Surviving that initial aggression marked the beginning of a painful journey through more, each inflicting fresh psychological stress, mental traumas, and new losses.
However, the current situation is the most devastating they've experienced, “It's the most destructive aggression we've experienced”, Israa describes. A week of relentless airstrikes has turned their neighborhood into rubble, forcing them to evacuate to Rafah, where they've moved through eight different houses in search of safety.

Israa's family, including her parents, siblings, and their children, now face the heart-wrenching decision to leave Gaza until the end of war. Despite their deep roots in Gaza, the escalating danger and lack of basic necessities have left them with no choice, “Everyday our lives hang in the balance, our future is shrouded in uncertainty, with the looming fear that each day may be our last. Yet, we hold onto hope, continuing the unfinished stories of our lives”.
Israa's parents, Abdel Kareem and Najat, who worked tirelessly for nearly 30 years in Saudi Arabia to build a home in Gaza and ensure their children's proper education, now find themselves displaced and homeless. and her sister Alaa, a dedicated dentist and mother of a triplet (Lara, Rita, and Adam), and her brothers Husam, a humanitarian worker, and Belal, a talented musician and recent pharmacy school graduate, also face uncertain futures.
Additionally, it's crucial to note that Rita, one of Israa's nieces, requires urgent open-heart surgery. Your support can also help ensure that Rita receives the medical care she urgently needs.

To secure their evacuation permits, which come with exorbitant costs, Israa is reaching out for support. The permits cost approximately a total of £50,000. Your contribution, no matter the size, could make a world of difference for Israa and her family as they navigate this difficult journey.
Even if you're unable to donate, simply sharing their story could help spread awareness and reach others who may be able to offer assistance. Israa and her family are immensely grateful for any support or kindness extended their way.
Thank you for considering their plight and for standing in solidarity with them during this challenging time.
