Help Israel Recover from Brain Tumor
Donation protected
Our friend Israel Ashiagbor went to the doctor after experiencing seizures while sleeping, difficulty breathing, and cognitive issues. On December 9th, 2021, Israel received a call from his neurologist stating that he had a brain tumor the size of a fist.
On December 14th, Israel went into surgery and spent 2 nights in the ICU, 2 weeks in recovery, and is now working on rehabilitation. His brother was able to stay and help him during the first month. With a long way to go in his recovery, Israel is now living on his own and working for the IT department at Colorado College. He continues to require multiple appointments for rehabilitation, doctor’s appointments, and surgeries weekly. In the next six months, he will have both shoulders replaced due to the seizures.
Israel was born in Ghana and raised in New York. He graduated high school as valedictorian and had dreams of studying medicine. He then graduated from Colorado College in 2020 with a degree in Biochemistry. He was the team manager for the men’s basketball team and has continued to be an active supporter of the team.
Through everything, Israel has kept a positive attitude and will always greet you with the biggest smile.
Israel needs to pay for his surgeries and medical appointments. We want to help him raise the money so he can focus his energy on getting better and so he knows he is not alone in this fight. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated.
