IT lessons for disadvantaged young kids in Uganda
Donazione protetta
Our goal is to help disadvantaged young generations in Uganda with information technology.
We teach children about computer science and give them more opportunities for their future life. We are here to eradicate computer illiteracy among children in communities by offering FREE training on both theoretical and practical computer science. Now is the time to transform the younger generation into skilled and ideological young entrepreneurs and good thinkers as a way to develop our communities and escape the vicious cycle of poverty.
Currently we teach over 100 students from Wakisi Baptist Primary School every wednesday and Friday from 3 to 5pm. We also conduct classes during the weekends for those kids who wish to go to school but without chance.
We have 8 computers, including 7 laptop and 1 desktop, donated by individuals.
VKFP is a registered Community Based Organization operational in Njeru Municipality Buikwe District in Uganda.
The funds will be used for the purchase of study materials, rent of premises for the classrooms, bills, administrative and bureaucratic costs, specialized teachers, cost to collect donated PCs (We have to pay a postal service fee to collect the computers that are shipped to us, even if they are a donation.) , common utility objects such as desks, pens, notebooks, printers.
