It takes a village: Help Charlie after his attack
Donation protected
Starting this for my dear friends, The MacLeods and their precious pup Charlie.
This is what Allyson wrote….
This past weekend, we were out of town with family when a good friend called us during a walk with Charlie. On Saturday, January 22, Charlie was unfortunately attacked by another dog (70lb—Charlie is 17lb) while out for a walk. He suffered multiple puncture wounds, and also abdominal degloving. The wounds are severe, and he has been hospitalized since the accident, and will continue to be inpatient for many days while they administer IV antibiotics, fluids, pain medication, and sedation. He has been having regular wound washouts and dressing changes under sedation. As of today (1/23), he will be having his first surgery to begin reattaching his skin and tissue, as it was peeled down from his chest to his pelvis. Charlie has a very long road ahead of him, and we are humbly and kindly asking for prayers, and for any financial assistance you feel moved to contribute. Charlie is the joy of our life, and everyone who knows him absolutely adores him. Thank you so much for all of the love and support you have shown our family! We appreciate you all.
