Help please in recovery… It takes a village…

Judie here... the Mom. No matter the age - always the Mom.
I am new to this “go fund me” process and as hard as it can be to ask for help, sometimes there are circumstances that humble us.
For those of you that have known me for a long time (back to the 80’s) you know that my son Jayson was born with a condition called Perthes disease – which is a rare condition in which the ball-shaped head of the thighbone (femoral head) temporarily loses its blood supply and the thighbone collapses causing inflammation, irritation and becomes malformed. This malformation is in the ball and socket of his hip. Jayson underwent three surgeries with the Shriners in Portland Oregon (who were wonderful) at the age of 7, 8 and 9 to help him alleviate the pain and be able to live on for another 35 years doing sports, chasing after his 4 boys and no doubt some crazy stuff in there as well!
For those that have more recent facts – you know my son is self-employed doing bathroom and kitchen remodels, building decks and other “handy” stuff. Work that fluctuates based on need, timing, available materials and owner finances. All scenarios of business which are hard to budget for in day to day living.
For the past several years his hip discomfort started creeping up and recently has become unbearable to be able to have a good quality of life. On September 26, 2023 Jayson underwent a full hip replacement which did not go 100% as planned. He ended up spending 4 days (verses overnight), having unknown bleeding, blood transfusions and other complications. All this is going to set him back for several months to be able to provide for his family. While planning was done along the way knowing that this was going to be the outcome – life sometimes gets in the way, and it is evident that recovery time is going to exceed any savings.
With that being said – it takes a village – and on his behalf I am humbly asking for any assistance you might be able to give. I thank you all for any donations and if that is not possible – your healing thoughts and prayers.
