It Takes A Village: Support For Donna Chism
Donation protected
On November 25th, our family was distraught to find that our mother/grandmother/wife, Donna Chism, was in a head-on collision with an SUV at Frazier Lake Rd, Gilroy, CA, at 11:49 a.m. The driver was confirmed to be drunk. Our mother/wife was admitted to the ICU with a ventilator, four broken ribs, two broken legs, a broken hip, a fractured pelvis, a broken hand, as well as some hemorrhaging. Donna has undergone three surgeries so far, and has more to go, but the doctors say it will be a long road to recovery.
Donna's husband, Mike, has been taking unpaid time off work to drive back and forth from Hollister to San Jose to see her and to sign paperwork for any urgent procedures.
We are asking for help for Donna and Mike so they can pay their living expenses, which require two incomes. From what the doctors are saying, it'll be a long road before our mother/wife can be up and moving again.
We're especially reaching out to Donna's family and friends during this time of need. If you could please consider donating for Donna's medical expenses and both Mike's and Donna's living expenses until she, hopefully, can return to work, it would be greatly appreciated.
