It's in Nottingham Three Peaks Challenge

A team from It’s in Nottingham will be braving the Three Peaks Challenge on 20th June 2024 (that's Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours).

The team are doing this to raise money for the amazing scheme Base 51 who have been supporting young people in Nottingham for over 30 years, providing a safe place that inspires and supports the area’s most vulnerable. The charity offers counselling (free to those on a low income), specialist programmes for those who have experienced trauma such as sexual/criminal exploitation and violent crime, an LGBTQIA+ group and a youth club. They work with 11-25-year-olds from across the city and county, providing a vital service to support mental health, lower social exclusion and help with those facing adversity; their city centre base is a safe haven for 1,000 young people every year.

The target of £800 will sponsor a 12-week programme to manage emotional health for up to 12 young people. Anything It’s in Nottingham raise above the target will give young people the opportunity of free crisis counselling and a hot meal taking a young person on the path to a safer future.
