It's time to send some support to Ken the Plumber

Thank you for reading this little note. We all know and love Ken often called Ken the Plumber. What you may not know is Ken has been fighting Cancer for several years now and it's starting to take a toll. After 38 years with a treasured fellowship, he still hesitates to accept help. So here we are just loving him when needs it. Ken has non-small cell lung cancer and it has moved into his bones. Ken tried many traditional methods to beat cancer and even participated in a clinal trial where he saw some improvement. He has recently made several trips to the hospital and moved in with his son for more support and care.

About Ken

Ken D Was born in a sanatorium in Denver, (seriously it says sanatorium and hospital on the birth certificate) on a cold day on January 3, 1953.

In school, he struggled with focus, impulsivity, and emotional stability, among other things. Today we would describe this as ADD.

Somehow graduated high school and in college, he was on the party team. He was an all-star in two sports and lettered in three.

College wasn't gonna work out so he learned a craft. He is grateful to have enjoyed working with his hands in that craft for under fifty years.

Thirty-eight years ago Ken changed the way he lived, with the help of a power much bigger than him, and folks who understood his problem. Then after a time of healing, he guided others as they changed the way they lived.

Ken has a son, Ben who together with his daughter-in-law Lisa, is raising two granddaughters, Scarlett and Quinn.

In 2021 Ken was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer. Presently, it appears that the cancer has not been stopped as the cancer team had assured Ken it could be. After several clinical trials, the cancer is spreading.

No, Ken does not like long walks on the beach and he hated pina coladas.
