Itty Bitty Orphan Kitty Rescue is opening a Kitten Adoption Playroom!

My name is Laurie and I’m fundraising for Itty Bitty Orphan Kitty Rescue

Itty Bitty Orphan Kitty Rescue 501(c)(3) is a small nonprofit organization specializing in the care of tiny orphaned and abandoned neonatal kittens. (www.ibokrescue.org)

For 22 years we’ve been holding adoption events at various pet stores where kitten lovers can meet adoptable kittens and cats. But they are in cages where they are often stressed by loud noises, commotion, smells, and the arch nemesis of a relaxed kitten – puppies!

We’ve found loving homes for over three thousand (3,000!) kittens, but the need continues.

We need your help opening a kitten adoption playroom and cafe to help get them adopted!

We have the opportunity to create a warm and welcoming environment where our kittens can safely run free and interact with potential adopters and visitors! No more cages, loud noises, or dogs coming up to scare them! We’ve found a fabulous and affordable space for our new venture and could really use your help making it the perfect kitten adoption playroom! What is it called?

The Itty Bitty Kitty Cafe!

This space has two large playrooms that people can hang out in and play or hold kittens in safe and comfortable surroundings. And there will be coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cold drinks available to our visitors for a small donation. Guests not interested in adopting can pay a small fee and spend an hour in a playroom with our kittens! Potential adopters with an approved application can come and meet our kittens any time during regular business hours. We can also have meet and greets during the week for potential adopters so that fosters don’t need to have strangers coming into their homes.

*** In the last two weeks, we have saved more than 50 kittens from high risk situations and placed them into our foster network. These are mostly preweaned, motherless kitties who require bottle feeding every two hours. ***

Your donation can help support our 50+ newcomers get ready for adoption

- Kittens are adoptable at 8 weeks at the earliest

- IBOK Rescue provides all of these kittens with the necessary medical care, vaccinations, flea and parasite control, and treatment for any illnesses such as URI's, conjunctivitis, and diarrhea. We microchip, combo test for FIV/FeLv, and spay/neuter them.

- Each kitten requires about $400 in food, vaccines and supplies before adoption

$25 provides enough Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR) for one kitten for one week

$50 supports two kittens with KMR or BabyCat canned food for a week

$100 buys enough KMR or BabyCat to feed four kittens for a week

$150 pays for one spay or neuter surgery

$400 sponsors one kitten from intake until adoptable

$500 feeds 20 prewean kittens for a week

$750 feeds 40 weaned kittens for a week

$1000 buys enough KMR to bottle feed 40 prewean kittens for a week!

We are also seeking donations to help us get our adoption center and playroom up and running.

$5000 in donations will help us with:

- Spay/neuter procedures & supplies for 5 new incoming kitties

- Fresh paint

- Kitten safe flooring

$10000 will enable:

- Spay/neuter procedures & supplies for 15 new incoming kitties

- Comfortable seating for our guests

- Playroom supplies like cat trees and

toys – lots of toys

- Kitten carriers for transportation and kitten-safe decorations
