IUSA Round Ireland Run for RNLI & Jigsaw

Donation protected
As sailors we know the importance of the work done by the RNLI who work tirelessly to keep Irish sailors safe while doing the thing we love most. This year with the Covid-19 crisis impacting the fundraising usually done by the RNLI during the month of May, we have decided to raise money for their worthy cause while practicing social distancing and getting some much-needed exercise.

We also recognise the mental toll that this crisis and lockdown have on people and have decided to fund raise for Jigsaw Ireland. Since 2008 Jigsaw have reached 32,000 people and saved countless lives with their work and this number is likely to spike during this crisis. Jigsaw are currently attempting to raise €4 million before 2025 to ensure they can provide essential services to young people struggling with their mental health. Most of this money will come from donations and fundraisers such as this, so we are honoured to be help them achieve their goal and further their work in the future.

Our plan is a collaborative effort by all colleges of IUSA (Irish University Sailing Association) to beat Mod70's Round Ireland Race Record, running/walking 702 nautical miles (1300km) in under 38hrs 37mins (hopefully). Please join us in raising money for both of these truly outstanding causes and break a sweat/enjoy some fresh air in the process.
