Ivan E. Carrion’s Funeral and Headstone Expenses

Hello my name is Dayana Carrion. I am making a Go Fund me page on behalf of my brother Ivan Carrion and brother Carlos Carrion. On Saturday April 1, 2022 I received a call from my brother Ivan’s phone hoping he was calling to inform me he was being discharged from the hospital. Ivan didn’t come home to sleep on Friday night and we were hoping he was admitted to the hospital to get help. Ivan had been struggling  with Schizophrenia and depression since he was 20 years old. On that day I answered the phone call and a police officer asked me if I knew who Ivan was, he informed me Ivan was in the hospital and had been found unresponsive lying in the street. He asked my mom and I to go to the hospital to confirm my brothers identity. Ivan was taken to the hospital thanks to by-passers who found him unconscious and performed CPR to my brother. He was rushed to the ER and never regained consciousness. The doctors informed us on Sat April 1, 2022 that my brother was in a coma and the chances of my brother waking up were 0%. On Dec 29, 2022 we lost my brother Carlos due to a cerebral hemorrhage. My parents and I are devastated grieving both of my brothers sudden and unexpected losses, they were too young to leave, Ivan was only 33 y/o and Carlos 32 y/o. My brothers meant the world to me and those words come short to express what they meant in my life, I tried to protect them and love them as if they were my own children. My family won’t ever be the same without them. There are no words to express the pain my parents and I are currently going through having to live this moment again in such a short time after My brother Carlos’s passing. Ivan and Carlos were amazing humans, they both had beautiful hearts and souls, they always treated family, friends, animals and strangers with respect and kindness, always remained humble, never gossiped, nor wished anything bad upon anyone else. They always had something kind and funny to say. They always knew what to say to make you feel better. They were both full of LOVE and they knew how to show it without expecting anything  in return. Regardless of their struggles with mental health they were  always there for everyone else, always looking out for their neighbor. If you had the opportunity to meet both of them you know they were amazing men. They would always put other people’s well being before their own and that’s something I will always admire from them. Ivan was always giving and caring, he always showed compassion and love to help the homeless in anyway he could. Ivan lived with my father, and was financially supported by my father but any amount of money my dad would give Ivan to spend throughout the day he would give it to the homeless, he donated clothes to them, often would take his own clothes and give it to them, he used to go home and prepare sandwiches for them. He had an amazing heart. Throughout all these years growing up with Ivan I met a real Angel, he showed me what true Love is, the true meaning of loving someone unconditionally.  I thank God for blessing me and giving me the opportunity of having Carlos and Ivan in my life as siblings. Ivan and Carlos leave us with so many beautiful memories and without realizing they taught us so much throughout all these years. They will forever be missed.  All of the money from this fundraiser will be applied to Ivan’s Funeral expenses and Ivan and Carlos’s gravestone, they will be laid to rest next to each other in the Cemetery, they grew up being Bestfriend’s and I know how much they both loved each other. Ivan struggled in silence when our brother passed away and I know he would be joyful resting next to his Bestfriend. My family appreciates any donations made towards my brothers’s fund.
