Ivan Esqueda Memorial Fund

VLS employee, Ivan Esqueda, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 24th, 2022. He was only 30 years old.

A devoted husband, loving father, caring son, and dependable friend, Ivan delighted hearts and touched souls. Then abruptly and too suddenly he left us.

Ivan joined VLS in 2020 as a Repair Technician at our rail facility in Baytown, Texas. His dedication to VLS was demonstrated through his hard work and was soon rewarded with new responsibilities as a QC Field Inspector.

Nothing could top the joy Ivan expressed when sharing stories of his family and children. Ivan leaves behind his wife, Lexie, and four young children, Adalynn (6), Gissella (5), and twins Nayeli (3), Ivan Jr. (3). It’s heartbreaking to imagine what they are going through.

At this time, we ask for your support for Ivan’s family.

The funds raised will help to cover funeral expenses, and any additional funds will support his wife and children as they navigate their "new normal" during this difficult time. No amount is too small.
