Hello! My name is Julius and I’m a trans male from Iowa. I am 22 years old and just finished my AA degree and I’m currently serving in AmeriCorps NCCC for the 2nd time. I've been on testosterone for almost 2 years and it has changed my life and confidence for the better. When I was 15, I came out as trans and with the help of supportive family and friends, I became the happy young man I am today.
All of my own medical bills regarding testosterone and the appointments that come with it, come out of my own pocket. I also pay for school all by myself and I've been saving up to move out of my parents house. That being said, I haven't had the chance to save up much for top surgery or a legal name change.
Recently, my best friend Jennah (also known as l.y.z.a_l.y.z.a on TikTok) made a video saying how much she would love to sell her eggs in order for me to get top surgery. While I appreciate her enthusiasm and never ending support, donating eggs can be a challenge because there's strict guidelines and she's not old enough for most egg donation programs. However, her video reached over 25,000 likes and left some people asking if I had a gofundme. Now I do! Any donations will go strictly towards top surgery and legal name change.
