IVF for Amber & Tyler

Donation protected
Hi! My names Amber, I've started this GoFundMe in hopes of helping my husband and I raise funds for IVF. For those of you who don't know, IVF is a form of infertility treatment and is VERY expensive. Here's a little glimpse of our story. Tyler & I started trying for a baby as soon as we got married, in April of 2019. I work at an OBGYN office, so after a few months of trying with no results, I consulted one of the doctors in our office. We were basically told to try for one year, then if we didn't get pregnant, we would start looking at infertility treatments. Fast forward a year, still no baby and my cycles were VERY irregular. I consulted the same doctor again, and was put on Clomid to help induce ovulation. We did that for a few months, then had a procedure to check and make sure my fallopian tubes were open, thankfully both were. My husband under went some testing that was all normal. My original doctor left the practice in June of 2020 and I started seeing the new doctor at our office in July of 2020. I continued doing Clomid but we started checking my progesterone levels, where we found that I wasn't ovulating even on medication. So, we increased my dosage and added Metformin (doctor was pretty certain I had PCOS). We tried for a few more months, with no success. Frustration was building, so my doctor recommended doing a diagnostic laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and D&C. We did that in December of 2020 and I received the results I never, ever wanted to hear; I was diagnosed with endometriosis and both of my fallopian tubes were completely blocked. Luckily, I have stage 1 endometriosis and my tubes were able to be unblocked. We did medicated cycles for a few more months, then did a full panel of fertility blood work. Again, I received news I never, ever wanted to hear; I was diagnosed with PCOS. We tried a few more medicated cycles and were finally referred to an infertility specialist in Tallahassee, FL. After reviewing all of our records, our doctor at FIRM recommended we try a few medicated IUIs, with Letrazole instead of Clomid, before proceeding with IVF. We have now done 3 IUIs, all unsuccessful. Our next step is IVF, which we are mentally and physically ready for. Financially, not so much. We're prepared to save for as long as we need to, until we have the money to move forward. We've known for a really long time that we wanted to start a family and we wont stop trying until we have a baby in our arms, no matter how long it takes.
