Our Journey Continues, IVF Round Two
Donation protected
Our journey to motherhood has been filled with more hurdles than we expected. We’re now going on year two of of this journey. Our first round of IVF did not go as well as we or the doctors hoped it would. After low egg collection results led to low embryo results, we finally made it to transfer and were so surprised to find out we were pregnant! Unfortunately it went downhill from there, I was in and out of the Early Pregnancy Unit for six weeks. The doctors were never able to find our miracle baby on ultrasound and I went from Pregnancy of Unknown Location to officially being diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy. Ultimately I ended up in emergency surgery when the pregnancy ruptured my fallopian tube. Devastatingly we lost our miracle pregnancy but I also ended up losing a fallopian tube and a few weeks worth of pay being on medical leave. We dropped most of our savings on my visa costs and our first round of IVF. We’re hoping to try for round two of IVF in the new year and anything you can spare towards our second self-funded round of IVF would mean the world to us.
