IVF Support for Baby Kelly
As a mother, it is my job to help make all my daughter’s dreams come true, and I never thought her journey to motherhood would leave me so helpless. It is a pain I never felt, and I can only imagine the deep heartache my daughter feels month after month of negative tests. Here I am, asking our community, friends, and family to help me make a dream a reality for my daughter.
Kassandra and Justin have been together since 2009, married since 2016, and TTC (trying to conceive since 2020). If you’re lucky enough to know them, you know they are such loving, kind, giving, and purely authentic people. They have worked so hard to build their careers, make their house a home, and are ready to add to their love. They have so much love and having a family has been their biggest. It is heartbreaking to watch such an amazing couple struggle in area that should be so easy. Kassandra and Justin never imagined the hurdle they would have to face to become parents, but this is their reality right now.
After 3 years of trying with no success, Kassandra went in for some tests - In Spring 2022, Kassandra found out she had a thyroid issue (low TSH) and was finally diagnosed with infertility. Late summer 2022, she was put on 3 rounds of Clomid (fertility medication) with no luck again. This is when they Drs. found out she has very low egg reserve. Kassandra was devasted. Age, egg quality, egg quantity, and hormones all play a factor into conceiving – all 4 things not in Kassandra’s favor. She will have to have an HSG done in the next few weeks and they want her to start IVF in May.
Everything so far has been out of pocket, because their insurance will not help cover anything. The IVF process is very intense. There is intensive medications, egg retrieval surgery, embryo testing, and embryo transfers – IVF is the only option they have at making their dream a reality. IVF is very costly and emotionally draining. Her father and I are doing everything we can to help them as much as possible emotionally and financially. We have done everything possible and unfortunately, after months of back and forth with insurance, trying for grants and scholarships, we are left right back where we started – out of pocket only and it’s an upfront cost of $10,000-$20,000.
It is truly heartbreaking to watch the hope in your little girl’s eyes fade with every appointment and see the hurt and pain inside knowing there is nothing you can do to help ease it. This I how I can help. I can help make this painful journey a little more bearable by reliving some financial stress off of them. We are asking for you love, prayer, and financial support through this journey. There is no amount is too small. Please share this with your friends and families.
We would love to give back to other IVF couples as well! We have done numerous fundraisers in our community and love helping other, so whatever money is raised over the amount we need will go to another IVF warrior to help them achieve their dream family. We will call this the Baby Kelly Scholarship. We want to pay it forward and make sure others feel the same amount of love and support we receive too!
Thank you all so much for reading, supporting, and praying for us, our daughter, and the blessing of baby Kelly!
