Ivis’s memorial and family relocation

Hello everyone, to say we are devastated is an understatement. Our mother Ivis has passed away unexpectedly from COVID-19 complications on September 14, 2021. Our family is unraveled and in disbelief by this tragedy because while no one can prepare you for the passing of your parent, this was truly unexpected. Anyone who knew our mom knows her infectious personality and love of the arts. She was more than a woman, she was a friend, a daughter and a irreplaceable mother. Our mom finally got to live her dream of moving out of Florida, purchasing a historical home in Georgia - her and her husband Rudy were both carving out the foundation of their dream life which was cut short after only 2 weeks of being there. On August 26th, they were both admitted to the hospital due to Covid-19 where they faced a steady decline in health. Her husband passed away on the 8th of September as she was still battling this virus. Heartbroken and alone in the hospital she continued to fight for another 6 days before she found her peace and joined him on the other side.

 

Our family is without a doubt in disbelief, heartbreak and devastation. We are raising this money to respect her wishes of cremation as well as bringing my sister, younger brother and grandmother back to Florida where they will be safe.
