Ivy Fund for Mom

My mom, Araceli Velazquez, was involved in a very serious car accident in the early morning of January 16th while she was the passenger and my uncle was driving. They were traveling on the Highway 154 at about 55 Mph when a truck made a turn in to the highway, pulling out directly in front of my uncle’s car, which resulted in the two cars colliding.  Upon impact, the airbags deployed  and my mom suffered a fractured foot, shoulder and a fracture in her vertebrae.  Thankfully, both my uncle and the driver in the truck sustained minor injuries.  My mom was in the hospital for 5 days and in the rehabilitation center for 1 week.  She is now at home being cared for by me. She will need weeks of medical attention and therapy in order for her to get back to doing what she loves. 
 
Araceli is self employed as a hairstylist and she can’t wait to get back to her love of doing hair and caring for her clients. During this time she is going to need help covering daily expenses, lost income for the time she cannot work while she recovers. 
 
I understand that not everyone is in a financial position to help. Just know that every dollar will make a difference. We are asking for donations to help cover the cost for rent, medical bills and other daily costs.
