Ivy's Adoption

Hi, our names are RJ and Stephanie Szostkowski. We live in Dover, DE and have been married for 13 years. As many of you already know we desperately tried for over 10 years to have a family of our own with no success. In June of 2020 our lives were changed forever. We met Ivy through mutual friends and immediately fell in love! Ivy had been taken out of foster care by family members. We were presented with the option to become Ivy's guardians and eventually adopt her as our daughter. We were scared and nervous not knowing what we needed for a baby or how we were going to make it work but none of that mattered. Finally our dream of becoming a "family" was going to happen and we were prepared to do whatever was necessary to make sure of it. Ivy came to live with us shortly after that and our whole life felt complete at last! Ivy was not born into this world under the best circumstances , but we were ready and excited to give her the life that she deserved forever. After a year of us caring and loving Ivy we were named her official legal guardians in June of 2021. Up until this point we have provided and met all of Ivy's needs physically, financially, and spiritually. Our plan is to adopt Ivy, which we intend to do in the beginning of 2022. As you may or may not know there are substantial fees associated with adoption. In order to raise the funds needed for the entire process we are asking you, our family and friends to help. Any donation you can make would help so much! All of the money raised will go towards adoption fees, home studies, court cases, and anything Ivy will need. Ivy is a beautiful, smart, loving little girl who is thriving in our care. She deserves the best parents in the world and forever home and we are prepared and excited to be the ones chosen to do this.
