Iwo Jima Memorial Williamsburg

Our mission is to construct and maintain a public memorial park to recognize and honor the heroic members of our Armed Forces who gallantly defended our country at the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II. Iwo Jima Memorial Park will be located in James City County, Virginia, and is situated in the Historic Triangle of Colonial Wiliamsburg, Jamestown Island and the Yorktown Battlefield. The greater Hampton Roads Area is home to the largest Navy base in the world, with many Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy, Marine Corps, and National Guard installations. The area is also home to 150,000 active duty and civilian workers and 240,000 veterans.
