Send Izayah to HOBY's WLC

I am Izayah Bojanac, a student at Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg PA who recently attended a local HOBY (Hugh O'Brian Leadership Seminar) at Shippensburg University in Central Pennsylvania. This program develops youth leaders and inspires service and promotes the uplifting of communities. Although I am already an extremely active part of my community through service and am involved in many leadership activities, this seminar changed my outlook on leadership and developed my skill set to make a difference in my community and to continue to lead others. Personally, I believe these values held by the HOBY program, align with everything that I believe in, and as such, I seek to better myself in attendance of the WLC (World Leadership Congress). In addition to this experience being so life changing, it has ignited in me a spark of service and a great desire to uplift the community in such a way that I hope to continue developing my skills to better serve those around me. Thus, I seek to not only begin service initiatives and become further involved in my community, but I seek to also take my only opportunity to attend the World Leadership Convention for HOBY this year.

This opportunity, which I seek to take with hard work and every effort that it takes to achieve my goal, has lasting, life changing effects that will forever be recognized as such. Hard work, as an essential part of service and leadership, is one of the primary qualities I wish to continue developing in my fundraising and attendance of the WLC, a quality which I learned exclusively from my mother. My Mother's hard work truly began my journey towards service and leadership. A full time UPS worker, mother of two, caretaker of my great great grandmother, and night student, my mom demonstrated everyday how important hard work, service to others, and perseverance truly was at a young age. Now, I value everything she has taught me and see that results truly do come from hard work and life can be improved when you set your mind to it. Therefore, my motivation to attend this program is strengthened by these examples and I seek to go further to change the world.

I am extremely motivated to achieve this goal in any way possible and hope to raise the money to attend. In attending, I will be responsible for approximately $2500 including more than $500 for airfare and $1825 for program expenses. I am seeking assistance and sponsorship in any way or amount in order to attend this once in a lifetime convention. No aid, idea, or donation, is too small and will not only assist me in attending the program, but will give me tools to jumpstart local community service projects to aid our community to improve the lives of those around me. Any donation can help make an impact on me now, and our community for years to come. So thank you, in advance, for any resources, aid, or support that you could provide to help me lead and serve others and thank you for your consideration. Have a wonderful day and please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
