IZZIE'S POND - WILDLIFE RESCUE

Donation protected
Izzie's Pond is a 501(c)(3) Wildlife-Waterfowl-Farm Animal Rescue and Children's Mentoring Non-Profit located in Simpsonville, South Carolina.

On a summer night in 2009, our journey of caring for orphaned, injured and neglected animals began when our pet domestic duck, "Frankie-Lynne" was attacked by a Great Horned Owl.   Terribly battered, Frankie-Lynne was a fighter and  was not ready to die.  At 1:00 AM, we rushed her to the local Emergency Animal Hospital...only to be turned away because they did not work with Farm Animals or Wildlife.  They referred us to another facility an hour away who was willing to stabilize her.  Arriving at 2:30, the Emergency Vet cleaned Frankie-Lynne up, gave her pain meds and told us to take her in the morning to another Vet 45 mintutes away.  As we drove home that night, we realized animals were no longer property, a simple possession or pets...they were now "Family"!

As our Farm Critter Family grew, we took Wildlife Rehab Courses to start caring with opossums and squirrels.  This quickly led to every animal imaginable.  Since 2009, we have helped cared for over 9,000 Animals...including Raccoons, Opossums, Squirrels, Deer, Hawks, Owls, Vultures, Bobcats, Great Blue Herons, Green Heron, Loons, Coots, Bunnies, Chipmunks, Turtles, Snakes, Goats, Donkeys, Cows, Lizards, Ducks, Geese, Swans, Turkeys, Quail, Peacocks, Chickens, Pigeons, Doves, Dogs, Cats, Fish, Emus and even an Ostrich.

My wife and Family did this on a mere 5.5 acres.  Needless to say, we have outgrown our current property.  We were fortunate to purchase a wonderful 30 Acre Farm in Liberty, South Carolina and we are blessed to have this opportunity to expand both our Rescue and Children's Ministry.  As we transition from our current location to our new one, the cost of managing both sites is quite stressful, but well worth the challenge.  My family is completely simplifying our life to better serve the Kids and Critters.  We are liquidating our material possessions and going from a 3,200 square home to a 30' camper as we build our animal enclosures...all 10 of us (me, Angel {my Wife}, Izzie {our 6 year old daughter}, our dogs...Petey, RJ, Buckey and Gi-Gi, our house pigeons...Petri and Chicken and Izzie's house chicken...Chik-a-Dee.  LOL, I am sure there will be even more.

With that said, Baby Season is fast approaching and we need your help to cover the cost of materials for our new barn and interior pasture fencing  for our rescued donkeys (5), goats (22) and emus (2).  Since we have so many, we have been paying $300 to board them at a local farm.

You can review our Izzie's Pond Facebook Page (like it too please) and see how committed we are to our journey.  We have 150 "5-Star" Reviews!  We assure our supporters that 100% of contributions go directly to supporting the animals.  This is the 2nd of many stages for Izzie's Pond and simply having you consider helping us is humbling.

You can find us @ www.facebook.com/izziespond and www.izziespond.com !

Again, thank you for your time and we look forward to seeing where our new journey takes us!
