Izzy’s Miss Black and Old Gold Pageant

Hello beautiful people!

My name is Isabel Cox and I am a 2nd year student at the University of Florida majoring in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience.

I am honored to be Contestant #1 in the amazing Miss Black and Old Gold Pageant of the Theta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc..

As a young woman who understands the value of a village in uplifting the brilliant minds of fellow young Black women, I strive to be a microphone that amplifies their voices. What fuels my determination in this endeavor is the need for access to mental health professionals, resources, and support within the community of Black women. By becoming Miss Black and Old Gold, I will be able to gain a platform to advocate for the needs of my community while spreading awareness about the importance of nourishing the minds of diverse individuals.
