Izzy’s treatment

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Jen Canning, on Friday June 24th we had to bring my daughter Emma’s kitten, Izzy to an emergency veterinary hospital due to Izzy’s lack of appetite, energy and labored breathing. After being seen by the veterinarian she told us she believed Izzy had FIP which is a disease that is fatal. We were faced with having to put her to sleep, but my daughter was just not willing to accept that. After being heartbroken and crying all day we gained some hope when we heard about the Facebook group, FIP Warriors. Minutes after joining the group they reached out to us and told us about the experimental treatments that have had wonderful successes. We didn’t know if it was a scam or real because it sounded too good to be true. Emma did some research and said we should just try it, so my husband and I took a risk and drove to get the medicine. After giving Izzy injections for 3 days we had enough, it was to heartbreaking so we decided to switch to the pills. Tonight was the first night on pills and that was difficult but not as traumatic as the injections. Izzy is showing some improvement but the treatment is 84 doses of medicine and observation periods and many vet visits for bloodwork. We have a very long road ahead of us and my daughter has used her whole paycheck to help me and her brother pay for the emergency hospital visit and it’s very costly. I couldn’t bare to see my daughter so inconsolable with sadness so we are asking for any help with Izzy’s future treatments and Vet visits in hopes we can save her life. I have never done a go fund me but the FIP support group told us about it. Thank you all in advance.
