Founded in 1989 by Zedric Bembry, Live In Color Dance Collective (LICDC) is a culturally diverse dance company comprised of remarkably talent...ed, captivating and vivacious individuals. The dance ensemble is a true representation of life as it displays a mixture of Caribbean, African, Latin, Urban cultures, as well as a diverse range of ages.
“Urban Funk” encompasses a variety of techniques derived from the roots of the African continent. After combining a touch of jazz, a pinch of ballet, a twist of meringue, a dab of popping and locking, an abundance of street dance and a sprinkle of acrobatics, Zedric’s funkadelic style comes to life. His brisk, keen, dynamic choreography raises audiences to their feet every time. His creativity also encompasses his natural flare for fashion and aesthetics, complementing his productions with extravagant costumes and intricately designed sets.
