Pretzel's hip replacement
Pretzel needs your help. When Deann first walked through The Paws Cause adoption event in at the AQHA Youth World Show in Oklahoma City, she was not looking for a dog. Then she saw Pretzel, crouched at the back of her crate and afraid to move. Pretzel's frightened demeanor pulled at her heart strings and she couldn't bear the thought of leaving this dog behind. Pretzel is a Plott Hound and she got her name because you can fold her up like a Pretzel. With time and patience, Deann has earned Pretzel's trust and, because of that, Pretzel has become outgoing and friendly. A dog that was doomed not to be adopted has found her forever home with Deann.
A few weeks ago Deann noticed that Pretzel was limping. The vet's prognosis was far from encouraging. One side of Pretzel's hip is ruined. The vet thinks the trauma probably happened as a young dog. Without hip replacement surgery, the pain and limp will rapidly become worse until euthanasia will be the only option. Deann's dogs are like her children. Without hesitation she opted for surgery. Surgery date: January 5th. Surgery cost: $6500 which must be prepaid.
Deann is an assistant horse trainer. It's going to be impossible for Deann to help Pretzel without helping Deann. Please don't let this rescued dog be doomed once more.
Please help in any way that you can.
