CARING FOR CAROLINE'S SPINA BIFIDA: Fetal Surgery

Hi friends and family! My daughter Christine and son in law Tim are expecting their third child. They have 2 boys 3 and 2 years old and the baby is a girl! They discovered at a routine ultrasound that the baby has spina bifida. This news was devastating! Thankfully they were referred to Children's Hospital in Philadelphia where groundbreaking fetal surgery is done. They spent 2 days there and were accepted for fetal surgery. Caroline's spine will be repaired in the womb! They must relocate until the baby is born; while this will be helping Caroline's future it comes with unexpected expenses. Relocating, travel back and forth to check on the other children and huge medical bills. We are asking if you are able to donate any amount to ease this huge new expense! Caroline will turn a year in 2 weeks!  She is the most resilient, happy, joyful and wonderful baby!

We unfortunately must still travel to and from Philadelphia for most of her care. In May she had a brain shunt placed and during our most recent trip we learned she needs spinal surgery.  This is due to a cyst at the original surgical site and is quite involved. Once again some family members must stay with Christine.... times are rough financially and we thank
