Lisa's Army

Donation protected

Hi, our names are Amber, Kelly, Kody and Brianna. Many of you know us as Lisa Anderson (Beechley's) kids. My mom is the epiphany of everything a person would want to be. I've never seen her just take care of her, she's always cared for all around her. With that said, here goes....

In May, my mom found a spot on her arm that was starting to bleed and cause her issues. It was on the back of her arm, so if there was something there before May, she doesn't remember seeing it. By July, it was bleeding to the point they couldn't stop the bleeding. One day her ear felt plugged up and she decided to go see the dr about the ear. While there, she showed them the spot. They removed it and sent it in for testing. About a week later, we got the call that was never expected. The dr told her she has an aggressive form of Melanoma and she needs to go see a specialist in Denver to determine if it had spread, what stage, and what the next steps would be. Fast forward to yesterday, August 2nd, we took the dreaded trip to Denver and met with her dr.

This is where things took a turn. Melanoma is measured by the depth of the melanoma, not necessarily the outside of the skin but how far down it goes. High risk Melanoma, meaning cells have a better chance of breaking apart and spreading to other organs, becomes high risk when it is measured at 4 mm or greater. Moms is measuring 7.4. This was not the news we hoped to hear. She will now be sent to Denver once again for an MRI or her brain and a cat scan of the rest of her organs. We learned that melanoma isn't an issue where it starts, its an issue where it spreads and it likes to spread to liver, kidney's, bones, lymph nodes and the brain. All of these scans are to rule out that it has not reached those organs. Once those come back clear, she will then have surgery to remove a large area around the site, where they will shoot a special blue dye in it to see if smaller cells have developed in the lymph nodes. The cat scan cant pick that up. Once she has the surgery, she will have to wait 2 weeks for those results. With everything we have, we are praying it has not broke apart and spread. This is all hurry and wait and that is really hard to do. Even harder to function in your normal life with the unknown.

With that said, my mom has a steep up hill battle ahead of her. She has been needing to take off work a lot for these appointments and phone calls and for her own mental health. If you know my mom, she NEVER takes off work. She is the most dedicated, hard working, fun, out going person I know. She won't ask for help, she's afraid for people to know she is going through this, and is scared of the unknown.

As siblings, we are doing all we can so she doesn't have to worry about the financial side of things. She has already incurred medical bills and they are really starting to pile in. Not to mention the hotel stays, the gas, their own bills at home, and other obligations they have. I don't want them to worry for 1 second. So we are asking you, if you can donate, even 10.00, every bit of that will be helping them survive what is sure to be the toughest thing they have ever had to endure. As you know go fund me takes a percentage out of the donations, so if you would rather bless my parents with a venmo, that would be perfect also.

This woman has no doubt made you smile, cared for you in the public, worked with you, or simply gave you that friendly smile that she does so well. Let's bless her so much that she is completely speechless. Let's show her what an army she has standing behind her!!!

Your donation is one of the only ways to help her at this time. If you are not able to donate, please start adding her to your prayer chains. Every prayer helps!

Also, she's really struggling with all of this and facing people. She has asked that you don't really approach her about it in public, as she knows she will break down. She loves the love and support so if you want to show that to her, a txt, a message on fb, a message on here will make her day and she sees them all. If you would rather message us, we will always make sure she sees the messages. Thank you to anyone that is able to help in anyway!!
