Support for Rio Grande do Sul Flood Victims

Patrick and I are raising money for the victims of the recent floods in Rio Grande do Sul. Brazil's southernmost state, where Patrick is from and family still lives, was hit hard in the past several days with several meters of rain, more severe than ever before. Rivers overflowing and broken dams have worsened the damage. 147 cities have been destroyed, nearly 50,000 have been made homeless, and the death toll is still rising every day. Families have lost everything and cannot get basic necessities because roads and highways are destroyed and/or completely submerged in water - and more rain is expected still!

The money raised here will be given to the state of Rio Grande do Sul's disaster relief fund (which can only be done through PIX and is not available in the USA). Edit- FRC team 1156 Under Control, FRC 1772, and FRC 9305 are working together to raise funds for the victims. Our donations will go to them, as we know exactly how the donation dollars will be spent, and trust that there will be no waste and the funds will get directly to victims, and not government administration fees.
