The Beehive International brings you it's first project of 2017 - a permanent outdoor kitchen on our country property in Bohoc, Haiti! At The Pearl (a joint project of The Beehive International and Restore a Child) for well over two years we have been serving our community and mission guests from a makeshift pallet/tarp kitchen. This kitchen has provided literally thousands of meals, but the time has come to move on to a permanent structure.
Southern Adventist University's 23 member student team helped to pour the foundation for our new 27' by 31' outdoor kitchen which was immediately followed by Andrews University's team building the columns. Lodi SDA Church and the Calimesa SDA Church built the countertops and just this past week the Bethesda Construction team made great progress on the roof.
We have fed an average of 40 missionaries, 3 meals a day, for the last month already in 2017! and an estimated 1000 meals to our community patients during our recent medical and dental clinics. This structure will allow for better sanitation, speed of service, shelter from the weather, and for healthier and a better variety of food selections to be prepared.
Help us finish this wonderful outdoor kitchen - we are now ready for all the internal components of seating for 75 people, kitchen island storage with cabinets and drawers with a cutting board top, wrap around bar top for students to watch cooking demonstrations, installation of two stoves, tile floors, fans, lights, solar power, dining tables, storage, cabinet doors, finishing of the concrete work, finishing of the roof, and sinks. Ask the Lord to help us multiply your loaves and fishes here in Bohoc as we continue to serve, teach, and reach the least of His kingdom.
