Beauty for ashes mission trip
Hi, my name is Marie-Ange Mbumba. This is the back story to this mission trip. So I was coming from a women Christian conference named pinky promise in Atlanta and I was on my way to the airport and this lady stops me and she looks at my tattoo (my tattoo says beauty for ashes) she asks what does it say because it’s very small. I tell her it says beauty for ashes and she goes on to tell me that she just got back from a retreat with beauty for ashes (not a coincidence).. so I began talking to her for a little bit and I wished her well on her travels. Fast forward I get home from Atlanta and a couple days later, I look on Instagram beauty for ashes and I see their page and the work that they do. This ministry works with women have have been sex trafficked and it helps them in their healing and recovery through sharing stories and leaning on God completely. This is absolutely crazy cause God just blessed me with a new job that feels more like ministry than a job, where I get to help women and families dealing with domestic violence and sexual assault trauma. I feel like this is an answered prayer and God had been showing me along time ago when I was going through my own story of abuse that one day I would get to help women who are walking in the same shoes I was walking in. If God puts it on your heart to donate to me going on this mission trip to northeast Georgia that beauty for ashes ministry is hosting, please don’t hesitate, I will be forever thankful for your generosity. I am going to the Manila, Philippines guys! I’ve been accepted to go! This is amazing cause I’ve always prayed for God to send me to the nations and now He’s actually doing it. Thank you for your support. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 ❤️
