Help My Mum Get Her Smile Back!

Hello everyone, my name is Sam and I have created this fundraiser on behalf of my mum, Vicky.

Anyone who knows her will understand what a truly caring and kind hearted person she is. Over the years she has fundraised for national charities, local charities and for friends and family who are in need.

Unfortunately, this time around the fundraising is for her as she is having a very tough time due to her illnesses and the knonk on effect this has had on her body and mental health.

Mum was diagnosed with Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis in 2014 and has been quite unwell ever since. She later got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and these diagnoses coupled with her existing diabetes and thyroid issues have made a significant group of illnesses which have kicked her ass!

Despite being poorly for years now, she has never asked for anything from anyone and will still be there for those she loves without a second of hesitation.

This year has been a particular struggle for my mum. Because of her illnesses and the medication she has to take daily, her body is fighting her every second. She has lost her hair, lost motor functioning and recently lost the majority of her teeth.

This brings me on to the reason why I have created this fundraiser. Due to cut backs and NHS denistry being basically nonexistent, my mum is stuck in a position where she cannot afford to get her teeth fixed and has been quoted £10,000 to get implants, which is her only option.

My mum did not want to ask others for help as it is normally the other way around and is against her nature. I have seen my mum struggle with looking in the mirror, not wanting to smile and covering her mouth when she speaks. It has truly had a massive impact on her mental health as she has lost so much of herself due to the illnesses she faces and will always have to face for the rest of her life.

Your donations will help my mum get towards the necessary procedure she needs to get her smile back, which would mean the world for both me and my mum.
