In memory of Travis
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of Travis, a friend, son, brother, father, and devoted animal lover & dad. At only 33 years old, his life was cut short by a tragic accident in the Woolamai hills.
Despite his young age, Travis lived life to the full. He battled daily against so many hardships and traumas of the past….however, he never let those experiences harden his heart. His life was tough, but he was always the first to reach out and help others in need.
Travis was a diamond in the rough. His infectious, larrikin spirit and enormous heart & soul will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
When we first met Travis, he was living rough at the foreshore bush at Grantville with his beloved Staffy Marley. He was trying to make a new start in life away from the tough streets of Werribee. Over the three years that we had the privilege of knowing him, Travis transformed his life, finding a job, a home, getting his car and bike licence, and even bringing his sick mum back from Queensland to care for her. Together, they were making a forever home in Venus Bay.
Travis's passing leaves behind his unwell mother and a brood of his beloved & rescued dogs. His mother will struggle to cover his funeral expenses, pay her rent and care for all the animals left in her care on her disabled pension. While she has been gifted an old car, it is unregistered (unroadworthy) and on its last legs . . . so she is very isolated and without a means of transport.
No mother should ever have to bury their child, and we want to honour Travis's memory by raising enough money to help his mum get back on her feet and soften the heartache she will face over this difficult time.
We hope to raise $20,000 in memory of Travis to help pay for his funeral, fix or purchase a cheap & reliable car, assist with her medical bills, and provide care for his beloved brood of animals.
Anything you can spare in his memory would be greatly appreciated. Let us come together to honour the memory of Travis and support his mum during this difficult time. Our heartfelt thanks.
