Noah’s Medical Bills

Noah Maxwell was born on December 5th, 2020. Noah came out having issues breathing and was immediately given oxygen. Noah also had issues with his glucose levels not regulating. After we thought we finally had that under control, he decided to have moments where he’d stop breathing and started having seizures. He got transferred by ambulance to St. Mary’s in Rochester where they kept an EEG going on Noah throughout the next couple of days. We found out that Noah had a brain bleed during the delivery process which was causing the seizures. Thankfully, this was not as bad as it could have been because the blood did not enter the brain. They put Noah on medication that has been helping, he has not had a seizure since. They feel the blood will eventually reabsorb on its own without further intervention.
Now onto the most recent, Noah has been spiking a fever off and on. His doctors immediately did labs, a lumbar puncture and a blood draw to check for any infections. The blood draws and cultures they did came back negative for any infections, but the results from the spinal tap were not quite clear and indicated that there could have been or could be an infection somewhere in his body. Even though most results came back negative, his team of doctors think the best course of action would be to treat him with IV antibiotics for 21 days just in case he had some form of meningitis. Fingers crossed he will be out of the hospital by the end of the month!
Holly and Travis have occurred many unforeseen financial expenses and will continue to do so throughout this journey. All money collected will go towards medical bills and supporting Noah and his recovery. Anything that is collected and donated toward this is greatly appreciated!
