PLEASE HELP MY SISTER, JONI PACE

Donation protected
My sister Joni is in need of your prayers please. Here is her story.

Life was good. My sister Joni Pace & husband Kenny were happily married, had just celebrated an anniversary, and Joni was enjoying another year of her rewarding career as an RN in the Neonatal ICU. They were in so love, so happy, and both in good health. Fast forward 5 or 6 years.  Joni began having health problems, and within a few short years was diagnosed with diabetes, Crohn's Disease, autoimmune sarcolodosis of the lung, a clotting disease, and microvascular heart disease.  She did ok until a few years later, when her Crohn's disease forced her to work part-time. In 2013 tragedy struck, this time claiming Kennys health.  For months doctors had been trying to determine what was causing his chronic bronchitis. One day in October 2013, he was short of breath and feeling bad, and asked Joni to take him to the hospital.  Within 24 hours he was transferred to ICU, and was diagnosed with advanced Stage 4b lung cancer. On the fifth hospital day, Joni lost her best friend, and the love of her life... Her Kenny.

For the last 2 years, Joni's experienced more loneliness and more intense grief than I ever thought possible. After Kenny's death her health continued to decline, until she was no longer able to work in the NICU and do the job she loved so much. Life as she knew it, has  changed drastically. She never dreamed that she would be seriously ill, and living paycheck to paycheck on Social Security Disability. She's now dependent on oxygen, and has only 50-60% lung function. The specialists have been unable to determine why the life saving treatment for sleep apnea makes her so much sicker. She was told this week, she could quit breathing and die in her sleep at any time. Some nights, she's afraid to go to sleep. It breaks my heart that she's so so sick and alone, but I'm thankful her faith fills her with such comfort and peace. Last week she spent 5 days in the hospital for the extraction of 12 teeth, due to chronic abscesses and overall deterioration. Her doctor predicted there was a high risk she wouldn't survive the surgery. Thankfully, Joni defied the odds, and is now at home getting better. A Go Fund Me account has been set up to help cover the oral surgeons fees, and the remainder of her dental treatment and restorative care not covered by her medical and dental insurance. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. Please share.
