Emergency funds to get home

Hi all. My name is Kelly and I am setting this go fund me up for my dear friend and her lovely 2 boys.

hayley set off on a very much needed holiday with her 2 boys on Monday 29th august to Madeira for a week in the sunshine. As you can imagine after a stressful couple of years with covid they were all very much excited and looking forward to their holiday.

They arrived at their destination around lunchtime, went to their room to put their belongings in and then went to get some food. After being gone for only an hour and returning to their room they find the lock has been busted and the room broken into!! An IPhone that the boys use to watch things on along with all 3 of their passports have been stolen!!!! How absolutely terrifying being in a foreign country alone with your young children! This has been absolute hell, the boys upset because their mummy is upset, hayley has been constantly on the phone since this happened.

Below is a brief run down of the last few days from hayley.

someone must have watched us check in, we were away from our room for just over an hour whilst the boys cooled down in the pool. The room door had been forced - iPhone and 3 passports stolen. No one believed me as ‘these things don’t happen in Madeira’. Police asking me about the phone and it’s worth and whether it was insured. Hotel manager never even told the police about the door having been forced open, despite him sending 3 maintenance men to fix it. Wouldn’t move me to another room, and told me to push a chair against it if we were worried overnight. Applied for emergency travel documentation- which will take until 9th to be delivered as it has to come from Portugal mainland which is nowhere near Madeira.

Jet2 won’t assist with accommodation and hotel is full after Monday coming so we must leave. So I have to sort it myself. Have been here since Monday and spent the whole time on the phone to the embassy, Jet2 in UK, Jet2 reps in Madeira, the honorary consulate today, my insurance - no one will help me. No one. So I am trapped here until 10th at the latest as a single mum with an 8 and 9 year old

so please…….. if anyone can spare anything at this time when everyone is being squeezed enough as it is it would be so gratefully appreciated!

The boys are going to miss their first day back at school, Hayley cannot return to work so is going to loose wages, Pay extra for her dog who is with a dog sitter and she now has to find accommodation for her and the boys from Monday onwards plus flights for all 3 of them.

Just want to get them all home safely
