Chloe's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Saturday, February 12th, Chloe Howard, a fifteen-year-old from Milford, Michigan, was in a serious snowboarding accident while participating in a competition in Colorado. She sustained a traumatic brain injury as a result of her fall. Her parents are with her in Colorado and expect to be there at least a month. They are both by her side most of the time, but they have a hotel room and take turns going there to rest, shower, and recharge. They are on the waiting list for the Ronald McDonald House. They hope to return to Michigan when Chloe is stable enough to fly.
She has a long road to recovery, requiring intensive therapy and rehabilitation.
Chloe is on the Milford High School Varsity Boardercross team and Team RipTurn - USASA Race team.
To know Chloe is to love Chloe! She has an incredible zest for life and always has a smile on her face. One never quite knows what she will say, but it will usually make others laugh. She has big dreams, and we learned a long time ago never to doubt her. Once she sets her mind to doing something, she is all in and works to accomplish her goals with fierce tenacity. She has a heart of gold and is always thinking of others. She gives back in some pretty remarkable ways.
Donations received from this drive will go to help Chloe's parents cover their out-of-pocket medical expenses, not covered by insurance, along with lodging and travel expenses.
