Support for Lara

Hello! My name is Daniel, and I am the partner of a very special person - Lara. Throughout her life, Lara Jabbour has always put others first. She goes out of her way to help anyone who needs it, doing so not only cheerfully but also making sure that she does the absolute utmost to make whoever it is - and over the years it has been many people - feel loved and special. She does this for those in need, but will also spend copious amounts of time, money, and effort for birthdays and other celebrations just to spread that feeling. Most recently, she has expressed this desire to care for others through a charity she founded, which provides support (and giant teddy bears) to sick children in the hospital. Her goal has always been to make sure no one feels alone, and everyone feels special.

Unfortunately, Lara is now the one who is sick. For over 6 months now, she has developed horrible, almost continuous pain with minimal relief, which has been made worse by severe fatigue and other issues. She's had innumerable MRI scans, blood tests, and invasive procedures, which have raised serious concerns. Despite seeing specialist after specialist, there appears to be no end in sight, and the only consistent message has been that this is a complicated case without clear answers.

The absolute worst part for her, though, is the loss of her ability to work and spend time pursuing her goals - namely those activities like her charity in which the overarching goal is doing good in the world and helping others. This is something into which she would put not only a lot of time, but a lot of her own money. Now, with her inability to work and her significant decrease in function, she not only can't pursue this, she also is becoming unable to afford to pay her rapidly-rising medical debt.

I decided to create this fundraiser after she was informed of yet another large payment she had to make, but it also coincides with her upcoming birthday. If you are able, her family and I would really appreciate any donation at all. If you have financial constraints, a supportive text message or call to her would also be very appreciated. My hope is that through this, Lara can find some small amount of relief, and maybe on her birthday she can feel a little bit of the specialness she has always tried to create for others.
