I'll Be There Project

Hi friends and family!
My name is Chun Rosenkranz and I have recently created the I'll Be There Project as a forum to spread acts of kindness throughout the world and inspire others to join in a movement of collective compassion. I believe that simple acts of unconditional kindness have a profound effect on both the giver and the receiver, and that through this connection we are truly able to embrace our shared humanity.
My first goal is to create a kindness challenge where participants will do an intentional act of kindness and share it on social media through picture, video, or storytelling. I am also asking that you tag us by using the #illbethereproject (so we can all be inspired) and then challenge three friends to do the same. It is my hope that this will spread like a brilliant wave, pushing back against the negativity we see everyday on the news. As Martin Luther King once said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."
This is our world, and we must fight back with love.
This GoFundMe account will work as a base for large scale projects. I have been doing catering gigs at night after I get out of my social work day job to fund these acts of kindness. In order to take this project to the next level, I need your help. Our next three major projects are:
1. To build two large vegetable and fruit gardens at low income schools in the Bronx.
2. To provide every child at the pediatric cancer center at Columbia Hospital with toys and art supplies.
3. Buy one new outfit for every youth experiencing homelessness at the LGBT Door Center in lower Manhattan.
Future projects will include paying the monthly electric bill for a working family, buying textbooks for scholarshipped college students, and outfitting as many NYC people experiencing homelessness with coats before the winter arrives. The list of compassionate acts are infinite.
As these projects become a reality, we will share them on social media with you so that we can all experience the magic of unconditional kindness. Thank you for your generosity and for being the light in someone's life. I love you.
Warmly,
Chun Rosenkranz
